Tannadice is set two miles off the main A92 Dundee to Aberdeen trunk road. It offers easy access to Dundee some 22 miles away and Aberdeen 45 miles away.

Tannadice is a conservation village nestling on the left bank of the river South Esk at the foot of the Braes of Angus. Retaining much of its old world charm and character, the village has many original architectural features including former coaching inn, stables, blacksmiths and cobbled streets.

There is salmon fishing which can be rented on a daily or weekly basis on the rivers North and South Esk and the Angus Glens are only a short drive away and lead to striking scenery and some of the best hill walking and grouse moors in Eastern Scotland.

Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a range of skiingquality golf courses close at hand with many fine courses at Forfar, Kirriemuir, Alyth, Edzell, Letham Grange and the Championship course at Carnoustie which hosted The Open in 1999, is within comfortable driving distance. Pheasant shoots are available on many of the local estates and moors and ski-ing is available at Glenshee during the winter months. Other local attractions include Glamis Castle, seat of The Earl of Strathmore, birthplace of HRH Princess Margaret and childhood home to HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

The larger regional centres of Dundee, Perth and Aberdeen, are within comfortable distance and provide a full range of social, recreational and retail needs. The A90 trunk road is within easy reach and connects with major routes north and south including Glasgow and Edinburgh. The neighbouring towns of Forfar and Kirriemuir offer a wide range of amenities all close at hand. Private schooling is available at Dundee High School. There is a regular service to London via Dundee Airport (one hour) and a mainline railway station at Dundee.
